I hope you all have super-fun plans for this week’s Spring Break / SXSW extravaganza! (Even if the plan is to escape the SXSW madness!)
If you ARE sticking around Austin, be sure to keep up with all the fun events for families on Do512Family, Free Fun In Austin, and LiveMom!
This week’s classes at Northwest Rec have been postponed to March 24th, where I will have fluffy new carpets to lounge on between dance numbers. Bring a stuffed friend on March 31st for our Teddy Bear Picnic — a teddy bear might be most appropriate, but we’re inclusive and judgement-free! 😉
I’ve been hard at work starting promotion, sponsorships, and volunteer coordinating for the TENTH anniversary of the Texas Community Music Festival, so please clear your calendars to come and visit me at Central Market North Lamar and play on the playscape while you enjoy FREE performances by 54 local bands (and counting)! The festival runs from April 17th- 26th, and I will be “living” there from the 20th on! (And will probably be using my Ms. Kat’s Facebook and Twitter feeds to live-blog the event.)
I know many parents who are entrepreneurs and business-owners — if you are interested in sponsoring the Texas Community Music Festival, and exposing your business to the hundreds of audience members at Central Market, please contact me at
Kathleen(-dot-)Development(-at-)gmail(-dot-)com
Suggested donations start at just $25, and are tax-deductible!
Alright… it’s back to work for me, whether that means playing music, promoting music, or momming my boys while they’re on break. Next post: HONK!TX is coming up — I’ll tell you all about it soon! Followed by the Old Settlers Music Festival at Camp Ben McCullough in Driftwood!
